OUTDOOR ALLIANCE RESPONDS TO SUPREME COURT RULING IN WEST VIRGINIA VS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Outdoor Alliance released the following statement by Adam Cramer, chief executive officer, in response to the United States Supreme Court ruling in West Virginia vs Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):

"Today's Supreme Court decision has grave implications for the country's ability to address climate change and will hamper how government agencies carry out their work more broadly. This will have wide-ranging consequences for public lands and waters,” said Adam Cramer, CEO of the Outdoor Alliance. “By limiting how the EPA can do its work, today's ruling on West Virginia vs. Environmental Protection Agency makes it even harder for agencies tasked with turning the laws Congress passes into action. The division of labor between Congress and the agencies is critical for ensuring expert, nimble, and responsive management and guarantees robust public involvement. Today's ruling throws that system into disarray and will slow progress on climate action when we really need things to speed up.”
